Abstract

The increasing utilization of fisheries resources and the increasing global demand for food have made it necessary to take a fresh look at the nature and potential of the aquaculture sector. If the aquaculture sector is expanding at the current rate, it is projected that by 2020 the aquaculture production will reach 132 million tons. Today, aquaculture production systems need to be programmed to produce sustainable and economical crops. Fish farming in sand reservoirs is an easy and inexpensive activity considering the potential of sand mines in the country. Such integrated production optimizes resource consumption through the complementary use of land and water. Fish farming is one of the relatively new strategies in the world in which, in addition to optimizing water consumption, protein production as an important human food source is also the first step in identifying these species and determining their water quality is Given the 1437 sand mines in the country, there is a great potential for fish farming in the leaching tanks of these mines. Given that all the benefits of using these types of tanks are sustainable agricultural purposes, it is recommended to promote fish farming in tanks. Sand washing has received more attention and more research is needed to achieve a resilient economy.
